Contribution and conservation

Morning Star Conservancy’s mission is a necessary and historic confluence of spiritual devotion and ecological stewardship. Our focus is simply on helping the medicine grow into the future. You can help by sharing our message of concern to your circle of people who care, or who would care if they understood the reality on the ground.

Conserve

While we believe in the wonderful devotional aspect of having a peyote garden to care for and admire, because of the numerous legal ambiguities involved in doing so, we advise you to follow the laws in your locality regarding religious use and possession when determining your conservation goals. For example, residents of Canada and several other countries are free to grow peyote as they choose.  

Contribute

Perhaps the best option for those in the US (and elsewhere with archaic peyote laws) who want to engage in conservation is to grow another similarly related species, such as the ones whose growing information can be found on this page, and to contribute to Morning Star Conservancy so we can continue this critically important work.
